Idina Menzel or Idina Kim Menzel or Idina Kim Mentzel is an American, who is a well-known actress, singer, and songwriter. Menzel is famous for her mezzo-soprano voice and her signature technique, the belting singing technique. She achieved success both on-stage as well on-screen and is also among the most distinguished Broadway performers of her generation.
Idina made her Broadway debut as Maureen Johnson in the Broadway musical Rent, which helped her achieve a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Idina Menzel is known as the voice of Elsa in Disney’s 3D computer-animated musical films Frozen (2013). She is prominently remembered as the singer of the Grammy Award-winning song “Let It Go” in Frozen and Frozen II.

She started her schooling at J. Irving Baylis Elementary School in Plainview, New York, and then went to Syosset’s H.B. Thompson Middle School and finally attended Syosset High School. Menzel started working as soon as her parents were divorced as a wedding and bar mitzvah singer while she was only 15 years old. She continued her working career along with continuing with her studies at the New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, from where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in drama in 1992.
