Mako Komuro or Mako was a member of the Japanese Imperial family but she had to give up her title when she got married to her childhood sweetheart Kei in 2021. She was previously known as Princess Mako of Akishino. Her husband is a lawyer and she got married to him and gave up her title which is a consequence of the Imperial household law that makes the members of the royal family abandon their titles once they get married to a commoner.
She also let go of the 1.4 million USD gift from the government that is usually given to a member of the royal family when they leave.
She is currently a patron for various non-profit organizations as well. The former Princess became an Internet sensation in 2004.

Born on 23rd October 1991, Mako’s age is 30 years as of 2021. She was born and brought up in Tokyo, Japan. She was born at the Imperial household agency hospital in Tokyo, Japan. She is Japanese by nationality. She belonged to the Imperial house of Japan till 2021 after which she got married to a commoner and had to leave her royal title.
She has done her schooling from the Gakushuin School. After that studies English at the University College, Dublin. She completed her graduation in Art and cultural heritage from the International Christian University in 2014. She has also attended the University of Edinburgh for some time. She has also received a master’s degree in the art museum and gallery studies from the University of Leicester. In 2016 she has enrolled for a doctorate at the International Christian University.
