She completed her early schooling from a private school in Andhra Pradesh, India. After that, she enrolled herself at a private university in Andhra Pradesh from where she completed her graduate course.

She faced a tragedy in 2004 when her husband Siddharth Ray lost his life due to a massive heart attack. After that, she alone brought up her two sons as they were only 4 years old at the time of Siddharth’s death.
