The actress started her career with her appearance in the Tamil movie “Chandralekha” in 1995. After that, she appeared in another Tamil movie “Manikkam” in 1996. In 2018 her father filed a case against her in a disputed property matter. In this case, the actress stated that she was living in her mother’s house after her mother’s death but her father forced her to vacate the house and also pressurized her to quit shooting and acting. She also stated that her crew members were beaten by the police and they threw her out from the house. She also claimed that her father married his mother due to her mother’s rich financial background and after that seized all her property to his son Arjun Vijay’s name.
In 2017 she also made the news when she was accused of kidnapping her daughter. Her second husband Rajan Anand filed a case against him as she took away her daughter with her and didn’t return to her husband. This happened because after their divorce it was decided that the girl would be staying with her father from Monday to Friday and on weekends she would stay with her mother. But in April 2017 the actress took her daughter with herself and didn’t return her. After this incident court had decided and gave full custody of her daughter to her husband.
In 2010 she also indulges in a controversy when she filed a case against her father, mother, and brother for assaulting her when she and her husband went to her parent’s house to take back their children.
