Born on 10 May 1965, Linda was born to Italian Immigrants to Canada. Her parents are from Pignataro Interamna, and they belonged to the working class. She was born to a Roman Catholic family in St.Catherines, Ontario, Canada. The daughter of a General Motors employee and a bookkeeper started attending modelling school right from the age of 12. It was indeed a self-improvement course where she learned the art of poise and etiquette.
The modelling school was the one that gave her the impetus to join a modelling course. In fact, it was suggested by the school itself. 1981 was considered as her fist stint towards modelling. She was a part of the ‘Teen Niagara beauty pageant’. She did not win the pageant but won the attention of a representative from ‘Elite Model Management, with whom she signed her first modelling contract in 1984. By this time, she had moved from Canada to New York City.
