Military aircraft crashes in Abuja

A King Air 350 military aircraft en route to Minna, carrying at least six passengers, crashed in Abuja.

Hadi Sirika, the Minister of Aviation, confirmed the incident and identified it as a fatal one. He called for calm and restraint as the military awaits the outcome of the crash. After confirming engine failure, the plane reportedly crashed.

He tweeted: A military aircraft King Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure enroute Minna. It appears to be fatal. We should remain calm & wait for the outcome of investigation by the military, while we pray for the departed soul/souls if any.”
