Darius Rucker Net Worth $14 Million

Darius Rucker survived chidhood with a hard-working single mother and five siblings. Darius’ education is indeterminate, but he certainly knew that he wanted to be involved in the music industry.

‘Hootie and the Blofish’ was formed in 1986 and consisted of three more members: Dean Felber, Mark Bryan and Jim Sonefeld. The success of the band reallybegan in 1994 with the release of their debut album called “Cracked Rear View”. In 1995, the album sold over 10 million copies and was the highest-selling album of that year. Released to generally positive reviews and certified Platinum sixteen times, “Cracked Rear View” is still seen as the overall best work of “Hootie & the Blowfish”. With the success of their debut work, members of the group became known worldwide and enjoyed the limelight, and the contribution to their respective net worth. Since then, the band has released five studio albums and several singles that peaked on the Billboard charts. Having sold over 21 million copies, “Hootie & the Blowfish” still maintains the status of a legendary rock band.

In 2001, Darius Rucker launched his solo career by recording an R&B album called “The Return of Mongo Slade” under the Atlantic Records label. However, the album was not released until it was purchased by an independent company and presented to the public by the title of “Back To Then”. The album peaked at#1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and the song “This is My World” was even featured on the soundtrack of the movie “Shallow Hal” with Jack Black and Gwyneth Paltrow. This move certainly paid-off with addition to Darius’ net worth.

Rucker’s step aside from the original sound of “Hootie & the Blowfish” paid off, and his experimental nature made him go even further than that. In 2008, after signing with Capitol Records, Rucker released his first country single “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It”. The song did exceptionally well on the market, while his country album “Learn to Live” was initially certified gold, and then received a platinum certification too. Following the success of “Learn to Live”, in 2010 Rucker came out with his second country album “Charleston, SC 1996”. Peaking at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart, the album sold over 489,000 copies, and made an immense contribution to Darius Rucker’s fame, and net worth.

In addition to his singing career, Darius Rucker has made several appearances on television, as he participated in the game show called “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”, as well as contributing to several Burger King commercials. Regardless, all his activities have benefited Darius’ net worth.

In his personal life, in 1995 Darius Rucker’s then girlfriend gave birth to his first daughter. His second daughter was born in 2001 to his wife Beth Leonard, who he married in 2000. They also have a son born in 2005.
